Anna Wolff wins the special prize "Tech for Green" of this year's ORF Women's Prize for Digitization and Innovation with her master's thesis "Exploratory Data Analysis with Google's Tensor Processing Unit (TPU): Enhancing Traditional Data Mining Algorithms with the Use of the TPU on the Example of the k-Means Algorithm". Supervised by Dr. Martin Perdacher and Prof. Claudia Plant, Ms. Wolff developed an energy-efficient algorithm that allows the clustering of very large amounts of data on the TPU. The results of this excellent master's thesis were also successfully published at the IEEE Big Data, an international scientific conference.
